July 4th!

July 4th at Toxaway!

Had a wonderful long weekend with family at the lake....love times like these when the kids get to see everyone. Gosh, why can't my whole family live here!

Backyard fun!

Pool Time!

We recently joined the ACC by our house and Charlotte of course thought that meant we should go to the "big pool" every day. We are loving the club and I walk the kids to the pool in the double jogger at least every other day. I have decided these girls are definitely water babies and hope to spend as much time up there this summer as possible! Our most recent trip to the pool also included a very funny "Charlotte moment" that I never want to forget...heading home in the jogger for naps, Grace was getting fussy...Charlotte tried nicely at first to remind Grace that we were almost home...fussing continued and Charlotte could not take it anymore...she leaned over to Grace in the stroller and in her own language said "come on Gacie, get a bip!" (translation: come on Gracie, get a grip!)....wonder where she heard that from?! haha!

Lake Toxaway Weekend

Love visiting over at the Toxaway whenever G and Poppy are there...great times out on the lake including Charlotte's first ever time on the Big Mable tube! The girls are always in heaven with the grands...

Love our city!

Pictures from our fun day downtown in the park....soccer with daddy then time at home with Charlotte's buddy Aubrey (our sweet neighbor).

Our Garden

We thought it would be fun to try planting a garden this year....and it has been a great success! We planted squash, zucchini, cucumbers and tomatoes and they are all thriving in our yard! We have eaten a TON of cucumber salad and are getting creative with squash and zucchini recipes. Charlotte has really enjoyed watching the pumpkins grow. We planted 2 tiny pumpkin plants and we must have 20 pumpkins growing already and it is only July (we plan to pass out pumpkins to the neighborhood!). My other favorite from the garden are the sunflowers we grew from seed. They are enormous and blooming like crazy right now.
